OVERVIEW
What is the problem?
By data analyzing, we have identified three problems. 1. The user loss of the home page is serious. 2. Second page does not have long dwell time. 3. Most users choose to exit rather than to make further inquiries after reading the product page.
What is the solution?
We first improved the design of home page by retaining the customers who enter the page and by simplifying the information hierarchy to increase stay time. Then we designed to continue users’ experience after reading about the product, hoping to increase the probability of placing an order.
NDA⚠️
In compliance with the non-disclosure agreement I signed, I have omitted sensitive data and obfuscated figures. All information in this design project is my own and does not reflect the views of SUNON. I'm happy to share more details verbally during interviews :)
INTRODUCTION
In this project, we used data analysis to identify the main problems in current design in SUNON's webpage that were not user-friendly enough. Then, based on the identified problems, we redesigned the webpage of the website as well as the information structure in order to attract users to stay on the page and contact online service.
Discover
We first analyzed user data and web data from the official website of Sunon
DEFINE
We than define current problems and opportunities.
How might we solve the current three problems in an interactive and user-experience oriented way?
DEVELOP
We then designed specifically for the three problems.
DELIVER
We used design principles to reshape our web architect, then we redesigned the flow of the page.
