OVERVIEW

What is the problem?

Motion detection with smart fabric has been utilized in wrists, hands, waist, feet, and many other body parts. However, the movement of the elbow is neglected in such research, despite the fact that the elbow is one of the most flexible parts of the body.

What is the solution?

Based on smart clothing techniques that can transform normal clothing into conductive fabric, we designed a tool kit that allows users to modify clothes to suit their motion detection needs. We simplified the production technique and built a set of motion recognition algorithms to recognize the action in a specific scene.

INTRODUCTION

E-JOINT is a DIY kit for transforming smart clothing. In order to make the DIY process more convenient for users, we provide a full range of modified equipment. The package contains a signal transmission module (Bluetooth module), a basic output module (vibration, light bulb), a data processing module (eps motherboard and lilypad), a signal input module (cloth and resistor), an auxiliary tool module (scissors and glue).

How might we simplify the making process of smart clothing while maintaining the function of motion detection of daily excercise?
